What we do
Most of our looms are working on hand-knotted pile at any one time — that is the core of the house. Alongside it we weave high-low pile for texture and shadow, flat weaves and kilims for lighter rooms, and we take on oversized pieces where a space needs one rug rather than several.

Olker Rugs is a family house. The family began trading rugs in Afghanistan in 1986 — buying, sorting and selling by hand, learning wool, dye and knot directly from the weavers who made them. Everything we know about quality starts there.
In 1998 the family established its own factory in Pakistan, moving from trading other people’s rugs to making its own. Owning production means controlling the wool, the dye lots and the knot count rather than hoping for them. In 2011 the family moved to the United States, putting sales and service in the same market as the buyers while production stayed on our own looms.
Olker Rugs branched off as its own house in 2020, built to give the trade a white-glove service. In 2024 the NKBA | KBIS Manhattan Chapter INSPIRE Awards named us Best Carpet and Flooring at BDNY.
